HISTORY: Though its doors only officially opened in late 2011, the creation of the Kauffman Eye was more a decade in the works. The idea of a performing arts center in Kansas City was first discussed by the late Muriel McBrien Kauffman as early on equally 1994. From the north: Take I-35 North, exit on West Pennway. Caput eastward one block to Washington. Continue northward to 17th Street and and then east to the Kauffman Centre.

PARKING: The Arts Commune parking garage, immediately south of – and underneath – the Kauffman Heart for the Performing Arts, is the primary parking garage for Kansas Metropolis Ballet patrons.
