Assembly
Note: This unit is shipped without gasoline or oil in the engine. Fill upwardly with gasoline and oil equally instructed in the accompanying engine manual BEFORE operating your mower.
Handle

Adjustments
Cut Height

The blade command is attached to the upper handle of the mower. Depress and squeeze it against the upper handle to operate the unit of measurement. Release it to stop engine and blade.

Cutting Acme Aligning Lever

The mulch plug is used for mulching purposes. Instead of collecting the grass clippings in a grass catcher or using the side discharge chute, some mower models have the pick of recirculating the clippings back to the lawn. This is called mulching.
Side Discharge Chute
Your mower is shipped as a mulcher. To belch the grass clippings to the side instead, follow the instructions in the "Associates & Set-Up" department to adhere the side discharge chute.
WARNING: Keep hands and feet away from the chute surface area on cutting deck. Refer to warning label
on the unit.
Recoil Starter
The recoil starter is attached to the correct upper handle. Stand up behind the unit and pull the recoil starter rope to start the unit.

Follow the set of instructions pertaining to your unit of measurement. Refer to engine manual for assist with the engine.
Briggs & Stratton Engine:
1. Standing behind the mower, squeeze the blade control
against upper handle. See Figure 5-i.
2. Holding these two handles together firmly, grasp recoil starter handle and pull rope out with a rapid, continuous,
full arm stroke. Run into Figure 5-1. Keeping a business firm grip on the 2 starter handle, let the rope rewind slowly. Repeat until
engine cranks. Let the rope rewind each fourth dimension slowly.
Honda Engine:
one. Place the fuel valve lever constitute on the left side of the engine into the ON (OPEN) position. Come across Figure 5-2.
2. Continuing behind the mower, squeeze the bract control against upper handle.
3. Property these two handles together firmly, grasp recoil starter handle and pull rope out with a rapid, continuous, full arm stroke. Run into Effigy 5-2. Keeping a firm grip on the starter handle permit the rope rewind slowly. Repeat until engine cranks. Let the rope rewind each time slowly.
